Many neurological studies have shown that practising regular meditation helps to calms down the overall reactivity of the brain, including the amygdala which is also known as the ‘fear centre’. Regular meditators also have less activity in the right prefrontal cortex. If meditation was a pill. it would be hailed as a miracle drug!
